I'm a single mother with sons ... how many depends on what day of the week it is (I think!). I do recall giving birth to two of them - but there are others that come and go, sometimes spending just one night, sometimes staying for many months. All I'm sure of is they all call me Mom, so they must be mine

I try to be fair in my reviews, and if I have changed something in your recipe and didn't like it, I will not "downgrade" the recipe - cuz if I changed it, then I didn't make your recipe, now, did I?

I do not nit-pick at instructions or quantities, either - everybody's different, and if you pay attention to what you cook, you will usually know if a given quantity in a written recipe will suit you or not. I never ever go down the list and just dump things in the pot ... because what may be delicious to me may taste like a salt lick to somebody else! Unless you're baking, recipes are not cast in stone ... they're just guidelines and meant to be interpreted to your own personal preferences.

The recipes I post ALL come from elsewhere - I just don't play around in the kitchen very much! I usually know by reading a recipe if I'll like it - although I do get "adventurous" (as my son calls it) once in a while and try something that's outside of my comfort zone. Unfortunately, because I'm so addicted to recipes (I own about 500 cookbooks, how sad is that?), there are very, very few recipes that I prepare more than a few times - much to the frustration of my kids, as they never quite know what they might be sitting down to
