about me

I am a working wife and mother of 3. My boys are teenagers (14 and 17)and my daughter is 8 years old. My daughter was adopted from South Korea and because of that Korean food has become one of my passions. We visited Korea for two weeks last summer and had the best time ever! We love Korea!

My other love is going to the Estes Park (Rocky Mountain National Park) area at least once a year. I used to live near there and I still have a huge passion for the mountains. The picture above was taken in Rocky Mountain National Park in September 2008.

Our family also loves dogs. We have 3, two Cairn Terriers (Toto dogs) Scruffy and Kimchee and a Chocolate Lab named Chocolate Chip. I am also wanting a Papillon so bad! Oh well....with 3 kids, 3 dogs and two lovebirds, I guess our house is sorta full right now!

My icon picture is Vanessa Paradis. I'm a huge fan.....

Favorite Foods:

I love to cook food from different cultures, especially Korean, Indian, Japanese, Mexican and anything that strikes my fancy. I think the dish I love the most that I cook is Dak Bulgoki a hot Korean chicken dish made with red pepper paste. It's yummy!

Dak Bulgoki (Chicken Bulgoki)

My favorite restaurants...in OKC it has to be Yamato Steakhouse or B-Won Korean Restaurant (they make better dolsot bibimbap than I found in all of Korea!)

In Estes Park we love the Grubsteak (great buffalo burgers)or Poppy's Pizza. If you are going hiking in the mountains the Big Horn Restaurant makes great sandwiches to take with you.

One of my favorite snacks are Korean Mandu with cheese cubes and wine. Hey, don't knock it til you've tried it!

I am really loving Recipezaar! I am finding so many wonderful recipes. It is so helpful to have the reviews from others who have tried a recipe before me. This place is awesome!
