I live in N. Illinois, with my husband and 3 goofy cats. I have one daughter.
In May-2007, I retired from the phone company after working there for 33 years. I spend some time volunteering at a local animal shelter and have just begun taking courses to become a Veterinary Technician.
My husband and I will eventually move to our home in N. Wisconsin.
We love light Asian-style foods...Thai, Japanese and Chinese. I also love rare, tender steaks...oozing with juice, covered with mushrooms, accompanied by a vodka martini with a blue cheese olive and a fresh caesar-like salad. My husband and I also LOVE seafood, especially shrimp, scallops, lobster, oysters, clams, octopus, squid and most fish (I guess I just about named them all!)
I'm famous for my chicken flautas but I haven't submitted the recipe because I've never written it down, I do it by feel. My chicken tetrazzini is also very good and that one IS posted!
My favorite restaurant, right now, is The Chippewa Inn, in Hayward, Wisconsin. Next week it will be something else.
I love grilling outdoors, especially at our cabin in N. Wisconsin, where I can grill while watching our resident bald eagle (we've named him Ernie and we know him by the missing feathers on his right wing) fly along the Chippewa River...so pretty!
