I wonder if anyone can tell me why my scratch cakes don't rise. Most times they never get higher than the amount of raw batter I pour in the pan.
When I make cakes from a box I don't have this problem.
They always rise nicely.
Help!!!!

Wonderful! This is really easy and quick to make and Delicious. I used pecans. I baked for 30 minutes and they came out great. Thanks so much for posting!

Easy, fantastic sugar cookie! Much like Eat 'n Park's smiley cookies. Revision 12/08: Actually, these are BETTER than Eat 'n Park's cookies. I just picked some up last week after a visit home and I like mine better!

Very sticky dough, I did have to add quite a bit of flour, and had trouble rolling out. Taste was awesome, and talk about sturdy. I made a large gingerbread house (first timer), walls 8x11 and roof approx. cookies were crispy and yet not rock...
